Job Description - Supplier Quality Engineer / Customer Quality Engineer X 2 / Electronics Co

SUPPLIER QUALITY ENGINEER 

Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with purchasing and engineering teams to evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, reliability, and performance criteria.
  • Conduct supplier assessments, audits, and qualifications to ensure compliance with quality standards and requirements.
  • Develop and implement supplier quality assurance processes, procedures and metrics to monitor and improve supplier performance.
  • Establish quality agreements, specifications, and requirements with suppliers to ensure consistency and compliance with quality standards.
  • Work closely with suppliers to address quality issues, non-conformities, and corrective actions in a timely manner.
  • Provide guidance, support, and training to suppliers to improve their quality management systems and capabilities

Requirements:

  • Diploma / Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. Advanced degree or certification (e.g., CQE, Six Sigma) is a plus.
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience in the manufacturing industry
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems, standards, and methodologies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across functional teams and with external stakeholders.

CUSTOMER QUALITY ENGINEER 

Responsibilities: 

Customer Relationship Management 

Serve as the primary contact for customers regarding quality-related inquiries, concerns and feedback. 

Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers to understand their quality expectations and requirements. 

Quality Issue Resolution

Investigate and analyze customer complaints, non-conformities, and quality issues to identify root causes and implement corrective actions. 

Coordinate cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective solutions to address customer quality concern promptly

Quality Assurance and Compliance

Ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements set forth by customers and relevant regulatory bodies. 

Conduct regular audits and assessments of internal processes, procedures, and suppliers to maintain quality standards. 

Continuous Improvement

Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency. 

Utilize quality tools and methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, and Root Cause Analysis to drive process improvements and reduce defects 

Data Analysis and Reporting

Collect, analyze, and interpret quality-related data and metrics to identify trends, patterns, and areas of improvement. 

Prepare reports, presentations, and dashboards to communicate quality performance metrics to stakeholders. 

Training and development

Provide training and support to internal teams and suppliers on quality-related processes, procedures, and best practices. 

Foster a culture of quality excellence and continuous improvement throughout the organization. 

Requirements:

  • Diploma / Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. Advanced degree or certification (e.g, CQE, Six Sigma) is a plus. 
  • Proven experience in quality engineering, customer-facing roles, or related fields. 
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems, standards, and methodologies. 
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem solving skills.
