We are now looking for the right candidate for the position of Sushi Chef to grow with us:
Responsibilities and Duties
- Create a rich sushi menu with various main ingredients and raw fish
- Prepare all types of sushi, including maki, nigiri, and sashimi
- Select fresh fruits and vegetables to make high-quality dishes
- Manage all food preparation activities
- communicate with the service team to ensure proper cooking, special requests, and food allergies
- Monitor food stock and place orders as needed
- Recommend new and modern recipes
- Maintain hygiene principles in all cooking areas and clean workstation end of each shift
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Management
Requirements and Qualifications
- At least 2 years work experience as a Sushi Chef (Commis chef min 1 year experience)
- Good knowledge of various sushi types and sushi-rolling techniques
- Ability to work both fast and accurately
- Must possess a passion for customers
- Team player with good initiative
- Basic Food Hygiene and Basic Health and Safety certificates
- Certification from a culinary school is an advantage
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $2,000.00 - $2,800.00 per month
(Salary will be commensurate based on experience)
