SVP Transfer Agency/Shareholder Services

A leading global financial services organisation is hiring a Senior Vice President, Transfer Agency to lead its APAC operations, with a strong focus on client servicing, team leadership, and operational transformation.

This is a high-impact leadership role overseeing teams across Singapore and Hong Kong, with significant exposure to regional clients and global stakeholders.

Must-Have Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

1. Fluent Mandarin (spoken & written) – essential for client coverage across Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Greater China
2. Proven people management experience – must have led teams (ideally across multiple locations)
3. Experience in fund operations / fund administration/transfer agency
4. Strong client-facing experience – handling escalations and senior stakeholder management
5. Experience working in a matrix, global organisation
6. Track record in driving process improvements/automation (AI mindset preferred)

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

1. Lead and develop teams across Singapore and Hong Kong
2. Drive a strong team culture, improve engagement, and address attrition challenges
3. Act as the senior on-the-ground leader in Singapore

Client & Stakeholder Management

1. Serve as the primary escalation point for APAC clients
2. Build strong, data-driven relationships with institutional clients and investors
3. Support new client onboarding and fund launches across the region

Operational Excellence & Transformation

1. Drive automation and digitalisation initiatives, including AI-led efficiencies
2. Continuously improve processes to enhance service delivery and reduce risk
3. Ensure all service levels and KPIs are consistently met

Risk, Compliance & Governance

1. Maintain strong oversight on risk and control frameworks
2. Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements
3. Participate in local governance committees and reporting structures
4. Regional Oversight - Collaborate with global teams and manage outsourced/offshore operations

Ideal Candidate Profile

1. 10+ years of experience in fund services / asset management operations
2. Background in Transfer Agency, Fund Administration, or related operations
3. Strong understanding of mutual funds / traditional fund structures
4. Experience working with clients in Hong Kong / Taiwan / Singapore
5. Confident operating in a complex, matrixed global environment
6. Proven ability to lead through change and transformation
