Business Function

Group Finance aims to deliver world-class standards in reporting, financial planning and finance processes. We provide insights and analyses that help the bank make sound business decisions – whether in the areas of product development or customer profitability. We also provide capital management, business planning, forecasting, and tax and accounting advisory services.

Responsibilities

• Support Group IBG Head in formulating strategy in the business management process, including defining business models, refining business strategies, and ensuring alignment with an evolving business landscape
• Perform market research including macro trend assessment, market scoping and competitor analysis
• Collaborate with IBG leadership to develop strategy content by engaging business, country, Global Industry, segment and product heads. This role may also involve cross-functional collaboration beyond IBG.
• Partner with business leaders to conduct periodic strategy reviews, budgeting/ forecasting, assess market shifts, evaluate opportunities, and deliberate on strategic choices and trade-offs.
• Organise and drive IBG-wide initiatives together with relevant Business Unit and Support Unit partners
• Lead in the business performance measurement of IBG through the Scorecard exercise
• Support IBG’s strategic communications across external forums (clients, media, analysts, interested parties, etc) and internal audiences including internal Bank & IBG staff

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant work experience demonstrating strategic thinking and adaptability, with knowledge of corporate banking coverage & products being advantageous
• Strong analytical, financial, and critical thinking skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to filter through complex information. Creative and adept at research
• Highly committed to delivering excellence, demonstrating resilience, practicality, and adaptability to achieve results. Comfortable working with diverse teams and bridging gaps to drive execution.
• Strong interpersonal skills, and effective influencing and communication abilities, capable of linking strategy, product, and changes to potential business impact.
• Ability to work autonomously while fostering positive collaboration within a dynamic team environment.
• Highly proficient in Powerpoint and Excel
