Job Function Summary

The Execution Trader will have primary trading responsibility for multiple portfolio managers (“PMs”) covering multiple sectors. The execution trader will need to interact with the sell side & multiple ECN’s (electronic trading networks) to achieve best execution.  The successful candidate will create strong internal and external relationships, provide coverage for systematic strategies, and offer market news and color to the PMs contributing to the overall revenue generation. 

Principal Responsibilities

• Provide multi-asset class trading expertise primarily in equity and futures markets but also in FX and options.
• Monitor automated trading systems and algorithmic trading activity.
• Execute trades as directed by PMs.
• Provide market and trading color to PMs; use market and sector knowledge to assist PMs with timing and implementation of trade ideas.
• Build and maintain relationships with sell-side brokers and traders.
• Assist PMs with commission tracking and allocation.
• Provide management with information on PM trading activity.

Qualifications / Skills Required

• Bachelor's degree
• Must have sell-side (electronic sales trader) or a Systematic Buy side execution trading totaling 3 year's experience minimum.
• Multi Asset Knowledge: Equities (core), Futures, Options, FX, Fixed Income (nice to have).
• Previous experience covering multi-PM's in a high-volume environment.
• General tech skills- understanding front end trading guis, excel macros, and coding a plus.
• Detail oriented; Demonstrates thoroughness and strong ownership of work.
• Good team player with a strong willingness to participate and help others.
• Able to prioritize in a fast moving, high pressure, constantly changing environment; Good sense of urgency.
• Strong communication skills.
