Systems Analyst - Tokenised Deposits & Digital Assets

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Lead Systems Analyst to drive the design, delivery, and integration of a Tokenised Deposits Platform within a regulated banking environment.

This role will play a critical part in building a secure, scalable, and production-grade digital money infrastructure, enabling both domestic and cross-border settlement use cases.

You will collaborate closely with Payments, Technology, Architecture, Treasury, Risk, and Compliance teams to define system behaviour, ensure regulatory alignment, and deliver end-to-end token lifecycle capabilities.

Experience & Qualifications

• 7–12 years of experience in systems analysis within payments/banking domain
• Experience in:
• RFP, Direct Debit, eMandates, or payment platforms
• High-availability and low-latency systems
• Proven experience in complex system integration and platform delivery

Key Responsibilities

1. Tokenised Deposits Platform Analysis & Design

• Lead end-to-end functional analysis of tokenised deposit systems, including:
• Token issuance (minting & burning)
• Transfer logic and atomic/conditional settlement
• Token locking/unlocking, escrow, and programmability
• Redemption into traditional deposits
• Define user journeys and workflows across customers, operations, and treasury
• Design token lifecycle models and state machines ensuring reconciliation with core banking systems

2. On-Chain / Off-Chain Integration & Settlement

• Define integration between:
• DLT platforms and tokenisation engines
• Payment systems and settlement processors
• Core banking, GL, and deposit systems
• AML, sanctions, and monitoring platforms
• Design settlement flows for:
• Domestic payments
• Cross-border transactions
• Interbank/inter-entity transfers
• Ensure deterministic, auditable, and final settlement across on-chain and off-chain models

3. Architecture & Platform Delivery

• Collaborate with architects to define:
• Smart contract modules and token standards
• Security controls and compliance hooks
• Wallet integrations (custodial / institutional / MPC)
• Key management and signing workflows
• Define APIs, event models, and integration patterns
• Ensure platform scalability, resilience, and fault tolerance

4. Regulatory, Risk & Compliance

• Translate regulatory requirements (digital assets, tokenised money, stablecoins) into system controls
• Ensure compliance with:
• AML/CFT
• Travel Rule
• Transaction monitoring & traceability
• Design audit trails, monitoring, and tamper-proof logging systems
• Align architecture with security and risk frameworks (TRM standards)

5. Delivery & Engineering Support

• Lead analysis across Agile delivery squads
• Provide detailed clarifications on:
• Token logic and settlement rules
• Smart contract behaviours
• Edge cases and exception handling
• Support QA for:
• Multi-currency token flows
• Settlement finality
• Reconciliation with core banking
• Failure, retry, and rollback scenarios

6. Stakeholder & Vendor Management

• Collaborate with Blockchain, Payments, Treasury, Risk, and Compliance teams
• Manage vendors across:
• DLT platforms
• Tokenisation engines
• Custody solutions
• Communicate architecture decisions, risks, and system behaviour clearly
