Talend Developer - Up to $6700, Central Region

We are seeking a skilled Talend Developer with expertise in Talend Data Catalog. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in designing, developing, and implementing data integration solutions using Talend products. Additionally, familiarity with data cataloging and metadata management is essential for this role.
 
Roles and Responsibilities:

1.  Design and Development: Design and develop robust data integration solutions using Talend Studio to meet business requirements.
2. Talend Data Catalog Implementation: Implement and configure Talend Data Catalog to ensure effective metadata management and data governance across the organization.
3. Data Integration: Develop ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data from various sources into target systems, ensuring data quality and integrity.
4. Metadata Management: Manage metadata repositories, ensuring that metadata is captured, stored, and utilized effectively to enhance data lineage, data quality, and data governance processes.
5. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, data scientists, and data engineers to understand data requirements and deliver comprehensive data solutions.
6. Performance Optimization: Optimize Talend jobs for performance and scalability to ensure efficient processing of large volumes of data.
7. Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation including design specifications, data mappings, and workflow diagrams.
8. Quality Assurance: Perform unit testing and participate in system integration testing to ensure that developed solutions meet quality standards and functional requirements.
9. Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to resolve issues related to Talend jobs, data integration processes, and data catalog functionality.
10. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in data integration, data management, and data governance. Continuously look for opportunities to improve processes and enhance system capabilities.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience in designing and developing data integration solutions using Talend Studio.
- Hands-on experience with Talend Data Catalog or similar metadata management tools.
- Strong understanding of ETL concepts and techniques.
- Proficiency in SQL and database technologies (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
 Preferred Qualifications:
 - Talend certification(s) (e.g., Talend Data Integration Certified Developer).
- Experience with other data integration and ETL tools (e.g., Informatica)
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks and principles.
