Background

Our client is top-tier global asset management firm focusing on public markets trading. With the expansion of AUM in Asia, it is now hiring an APAC Tax senior to join the team in Singapore, reporting into the Head of Tax Asia.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for tax advisory activities across Asia Pacific, including Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan etc.
• Handle tax planning, compliance and investments for various trading and asset management entities in Asia
• Support the Global headquarter to execute tax strategies that align with local regulations and the firm’s objectives
• Provide tax advice for business expansion and cross-border transactions in APAC
• Serve as a tax business partner regarding the tax implications on new products launches, entities setup, and growth projects
• Collaborate with the Finance Department on to ensure accurate tax submissions, and governance across various jurisdictions in Asia
• Partner closely with stakeholders including Finance, Legal, Compliance, Business Heads, and external tax provider to support strategic decision making

Key Requirements

• Degree holder in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or related discipline
• Minimum 13-15 years experience in APAC corporate tax ideally from hedge fund, private equity, asset manager, or global financial institutions
• Solid knowledge in Asia tax laws and tax provisions
• Ability to execute as a senior individual contributor as well as a people leader
• Proven experience as a tax business partner and ability to build robust relationships with senior stakeholders such as C-Suites
• Proficiency in spoken and written English
• Singapore citizenship or PR required
