Job Description - Tax Director

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous skill development.
Develop and deliver strategic tax solutions, including end-to-end compliance and advisory services across a wide range of industries.
Oversee the execution of tax engagements, from planning and review to final delivery, ensuring high quality and regulatory compliance.
Manage tax controversy matters, including responses to tax authorities and resolution of complex issues.
Provide expert advice on tax implications related to M&A, cross-border transactions, IPOs, corporate restructuring, and tax due diligence.
Drive business development initiatives, including the creation of thought leadership content and client-facing marketing collateral.
Build and maintain long-term client relationships while identifying new opportunities for growth.
Lead and support domestic and international tax consulting projects, including coordination across regional and global teams.
Collaborate with Audit and Advisory teams to develop integrated go-to-market strategies and deliver client solutions.
Implement tax accounting policies in compliance with GAAP, IFRS, or other applicable standards.
Support ad-hoc tax initiatives and firm-wide projects as required by senior leadership.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Tax, Business, or a related field; ACCA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in corporate and individual tax compliance and advisory, ideally with both in-house and professional services exposure.
Accredited member of the Singapore Chartered Tax Professionals (SCTP).
Proven leadership, analytical, and project management skills with a strong track record of leading teams and delivering results.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients and internal stakeholders.
Committed to long-term career growth with the ambition to progress to partnership level.
