Technical Officer, Control & Instrumentation (C&I)

Meranti Power Pte. Ltd., a fully owned subsidiary of Energy Market Authority, is establishing a maintenance team to maintain two open cycle gas turbines of our power generation station.

We are inviting applicants for the positions of Technical Officer (Control & Instrumentation) who shall report to the Senior Engineer / Engineer (Control & Instrumentation Maintenance) and be responsible for supporting him in the maintenance of C&I systems of the power station/plants. The Technical Officer shall support C&I team in the following:

Responsibilities:

• Maintenance, troubleshooting and repair control and instrumentation (C&I) systems for gas turbines, generators, and auxiliary equipment.  

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to ensure reliability and optimal performance of plant control systems and instrumentation.

• Calibrate, test, and commission field instruments such as transmitters, sensors, control valves, and analyzers.

• Able to understand P&IDs, Loop Drawings, Control Panel Schematic Drawings and Logic Diagrams.

• Good understanding and able to troubleshoot with Plant Control System like DCS, PLC, Local Control Panels and SCADA systems.

• Support operation and maintenance engineers in investigation, analyses and determine the root cause of plant defects and outages.

• Maintain accurate maintenance records, calibration reports, and technical documentation.

• Prepare C&I spare specifications, assist engineers with sourcing spares, inspect and verify incoming instrumentation materials and spare parts.

• Execute assigned work orders and support engineers in maintenance planning and execution work orders allocated by Department Heads and/or Engineers

Requirements:

• Diploma in Electronics & Electrical Engineering or related discipline

• 3-4 years’ C&I maintenance experience in a power plant or chemical process industry

• Willing to work overtime

• Self-driven with good working attitude and possess keen learning disposition

• Proven attendance record and works well in a team

• Work location is in Jurong Island (Transport to and from Jurong East MRT are provided)
