Technical Project Manager

Our client is seeking a Technical Project Manager to support the delivery and evolution of its investment technology platform.

This role will oversee a portfolio of technology initiatives across areas including portfolio management systems (PMS), execution platforms (EMS), risk systems, data platforms and AI-enabled solutions. The successful candidate will bring strong technical understanding, project execution capability and a systems-thinking mindset to ensure platform changes are delivered efficiently and effectively.

The role requires someone who can understand complex technology environments, coordinate multiple workstreams and drive alignment between business stakeholders, product teams and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage and coordinate multiple technology projects across investment platforms, ensuring clear scope, milestones, dependencies and delivery outcomes.
2. Drive platform enhancements and system integration initiatives across PMS, EMS, risk systems, data platforms and analytics solutions.
3. Work closely with technology teams, business stakeholders and product owners to translate requirements into practical delivery plans.
4. Identify opportunities to improve project execution processes, streamline workflows and enhance delivery efficiency.
5. Coordinate across multiple teams to ensure platform changes are delivered smoothly and aligned with the overall technology roadmap.
6. Support initiatives involving data transformation, analytics capabilities and AI integration.
7. Maintain visibility across projects, ensuring risks, dependencies and priorities are effectively managed.

Required Skills & Experience

1. Experience as a Technical Project Manager, Technology Delivery Manager or similar role within financial services or technology environments.
2. Strong understanding of system architecture, platform integration and technology delivery processes.
3. Experience managing complex technology projects involving multiple systems and stakeholders.
4. Familiarity with investment platforms such as PMS, EMS, risk systems or similar capital markets applications.
5. Understanding of data workflows, analytics platforms and emerging technologies such as AI.
6. Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to bridge business requirements and technical execution.

Preferred Experience

1. Experience within asset management, hedge funds, investment banks or capital markets technology.
2. Exposure to platforms such as Murex, portfolio management systems, trading systems or workflow orchestration tools.
3. Experience managing data-driven technology initiatives or AI-related projects.
4. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
