Technical Superintendent

Manage the technical performance and maintenance of assigned vessels.

Ensure vessels comply with international maritime regulations, class requirements, and flag state regulations.

Plan and supervise dry dockings, repairs, and vessel upgrades.

Prepare, monitor, and control vessel maintenance budgets.

Review maintenance reports and ensure planned maintenance systems are effectively implemented.

Conduct regular vessel inspections and technical audits.

Investigate machinery failures and recommend corrective actions.

Coordinate with classification societies, shipyards, contractors, and equipment manufacturers.

Monitor spare parts inventory and procurement requirements.

Ensure statutory and class surveys are completed on schedule.

Support vessel masters and chief engineers with technical issues.

Monitor fuel efficiency and machinery performance.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental (HSE), and quality management systems.

Prepare technical reports, budgets, and management updates.

Participate in emergency response and casualty investigations when required.
