Job Description - Technical Support Engineer

Our mission is to make blockchain technology accessible and enjoyable for everyone. We’re looking for a proactive and technically skilled individual to join our team as a Technical Support Engineer.

Job Overview: As a Technical Support Engineer  at Fun.xyz, you will play a dynamic and crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of our technical systems and providing exceptional support to our clients’ end users. You’ll work closely with our product, engineering, and business teams handling technical support requests, resolving issues within our payments pipeline, and maintaining the smooth operation of our production environment. Outside of support work, you will also play a pivotal role in supporting integration work with our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

    • End User Support: Address, resolve, and automate customer support requests related to technical issues with a focus on clarity and efficiency.
    • Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve basic issues within the payments pipeline, working to identify root causes and implement fixes.
    • Data Jobs: Execute and monitor data jobs to ensure timely and accurate processing, and address any issues that arise.
    • Technical Support: Provide technical support by writing and debugging Typescript or SQL  code, using basic Unix commands, and leveraging your understanding of crypto and Web3 technologies.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering team to implement improvements and maintain high operational standards.

Requirements:

    • Experience: 2-4 years of experience in a technical support or software engineering role, with a demonstrated ability to handle and resolve on-call & technical issues.
    • Technical Skills: ○  Proficiency in SQL○  Ability to create data-driven insights and methodologies. Basic knowledge of Cloud infrastructure. ○  Understanding of cryptocurrency and Web3 technologies.
    • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a keen eye for detail.
    • Customer Empathy: Exceptional understanding of what it means to be in the shoes of our customers and end users.
    • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience working in the blockchain or cryptocurrency space.
    • Knowledge of payments systems and pipelines.
    • Familiarity with data job management and monitoring tools.
