TECHNOLOGIST - QEM CHEMLAB

Adhere to all safety procedures in the Laboratory. Work in a clean-room Fab facility and Chemical Laboratory environment Follow the Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) to analyze routine samples and report to internal customer Use analytical techniques and instrumentation such as chromatography, spectroscopy, titration, particle sizing, volume measurement and weight measurement Perform sample, standard and reagent preparation, such as vapor phase deposition (VPD), extraction, digestion and series dilution. Responsible for monitoring and sustaining equipment Perform preventative maintenance on assigned tools Collaborate with area engineers to troubleshoot analytical issues and equipment issues Participate in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities, including 6S audit, housekeeping, maintaining stock of reagents, standards, spare parts and consumables Keep the Chemistry Laboratory Manager updated on tool and area issues Diploma in Applied Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical/Material/Biomedical Science or Environmental Science/Eng is preferred or related field of study Fresh diploma graduates or 1-2 years of working experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Proven ability to troubleshoot basic problems and address root causes Solid multi-tasking and prioritization skills Proven ability to be a proactive problem solver The ability to be flexible with job responsibilities and take the initiative to assume added responsibilities Successfully demonstrated teamwork skills with a strong focus on effective team dynamics Theoretical and/or operational knowledge of analytical equipment, such as ICP-OES, ICP-MS, GC/LC-MS, Titration, LPC, Assay, pH and conductivity, etc Good verbal and written communication skills
