Engineer will be responsible for characterization and developing cost-effective manufacturing test solution within Qualcomm leading-edge SoC products in the most advanced processes test with automated test equipment (ATE). Engineer will be developing Characterization and Test Plans and test hardware requirements, ATE tests/routines/programs to execute test plans, driving first silicon debug to qualify designs fabricated at external foundries, performing technical data analysis of parametric performance, driving failure analysis to completion, analyzing high volume manufacturing yields and driving test time reduction. Engineer with be working with IC design, system engineering and Hardware applications engineering in a time critical environment across the globe. The individual selected for the position, needs to be proactive, able to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment, enthusiastic to work as well as be passionate about delivering quality work.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 Master\u0027s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field.\n\n\u2022 8+ years of Test Engineering or related work experience.\n\n\u2022 1+ year in a technical leadership role with or without direct reports.\n\n\u2022 Hands on experience with Automated Test Equipment (ATE), preferably Advantest 93k.\n\n\u2022 Strong skills for writing and developing/debugging test code and scripting Competency in Java, Python.\n\n\u2022 knowledge of statistical concepts, analysis and techniques.\n\n\u2022 Strong verbal and written communication skills.\n\n\u2022 Works independently with minimal supervision.\n\n\u2022 Provides supervision/guidance to other team members.\n\n\u2022 Has a moderate amount of influence over key organizational decisions.\n\n\u2022 Decision-making is significant in nature and affects work beyond immediate work group.\n\nPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities:\n\n\u2022 Design, standardize, and implement complex test methodologies to validate Qualcomm chipsets and subsystems as products or product components\n\n\u2022 Define test coverage strategy across functional, performance, stress, and corner conditions\n\n\u2022 Ensure tests meet quality, reliability, and customer requirements before commercialization\n\n\u2022 Perform end\u2011to\u2011end functional and performance analysis of complex SoC subsystems\n\n\u2022 Identify gaps between expected and observed behavior and drive corrective actions\n\n\u2022 Support pre\u2011silicon and post\u2011silicon bring\u2011up\n\n\u2022 Debug test failures, analyze logs and waveforms, and identify root causes\n\n\u2022 Work with hardware, firmware, and software teams to resolve issues impacting test or product readiness\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 Bachelor\u0027s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience. \nOR \nMaster\u0027s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience. \nOR \nPhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.\n\nApplicants: Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
