Trade Finance and Treasure - Firm - Oil & Gas

Job Description:

• Review and validate all Letter of Credits, managing day-to-day import and export LC transactions.
• Ensure the accuracy and compliance of trade finance activities, meticulously examining sales and purchase contracts before submission to banks.
• Handle procedures for bank account opening, documentation, and upkeep.
• Foster and sustain relationships with banks and counterparties.
• Engage in negotiations of LC terms with buyers/sellers and handle counter offers effectively.
• Supervise shipment schedules and maintain comprehensive documentation of trade finance records.
• Guarantee the precision and thoroughness of all transaction documents.
• Supervise inward/outward remittance transactions, loan settlements, and treasury product settlements.
• Predict cash flow positions, including the management of cash pooling for both immediate and long-term needs.
• Evaluate funds available for business transactions.
• Conduct bank lines reconciliation.
• Timely report exceptions in Trade Finance transactions or other pertinent matters to Management.
• Monitor invoices, discounting & LOI redemption, and other documents in adherence to export LC terms & conditions.
• Ensure adherence to UCP600/ISBP regulations.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned periodically.

Job Requirements:

• Familiarity with UCP600/ISBP regulations.
• Preferential background in banks/trade finance, commodity companies, or Oil & Gas industry.
• Profound understanding of International Trade Settlements and Trade Operations, coupled with adeptness in handling complex transactions.
• Exceptional organizational and time management capabilities.
• Sound knowledge of cash management and Treasury activities.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, culturally diverse, and collaborative environment.
• Positive work demeanor, proactive approach, keen attention to detail, and precision.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in managing a small team.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
• Ability to work autonomously under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and presentation aptitude, with fluency in both English and Mandarin for effective communication with overseas Mandarin-speaking associates.
• Willingness to commit additional working hours as required.
