Trade Finance Operations Executive / Senior Executive

Responsibilities

1. Handle end-to-end Trade Finance Operations activities, including Import and Export Letters of Credit (LCs), document checking, document negotiation, collections, and bill processing.
2. Process trade transactions accurately and within stipulated turnaround timelines while ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
3. Review and examine trade documents to identify discrepancies and ensure adherence to applicable trade finance rules and guidelines.
4. Liaise with clients, correspondent banks, and internal stakeholders to facilitate smooth transaction processing and issue resolution.
5. Support operational controls, risk management, and process improvement initiatives within the Trade Finance Operations function.

Requirements

1. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Trade Finance Operations within a banking environment.
2. Strong knowledge of Trade Finance products and processes, including Import and Export Letters of Credit, documentary collections, and bills processing.
3. Hands-on experience in trade document examination and discrepancy handling; CDCS certification is an advantage.
4. Exposure to commodity trade finance transactions and related documentation will be highly preferred.
5. Good understanding of ICC rules and international trade practices, including the latest versions of UCP, ISBP, and ISP.
6. Detail-oriented with strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
