Job brief
We are looking for competent managers to oversee the day-to-day operations of our outlets. You’ll be the face of our outlets & play an integral part in our customers’ experiences and our staff members career progression.
Managers responsibilities include training & supervising the staff members, ensuring the outlets is clean & well maintained. Your ultimate goal to be successful as a manager, you should demonstrate exemplary management & leadership skills & ensure that the staff carries out all duties efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate staff to maintain high levels of productivity and guest satisfaction.
- Operational Oversight: Ensure seamless day-to-day operations of the restaurant, including managing reservations, seating arrangements, and customer inquiries.
- Quality Control: Maintain standards of food quality, presentation, and service in line with Empress's reputation for excellence.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels, including ordering and stock rotation to minimize waste and ensure availability of supplies.
- Training and Development: Conduct training sessions for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge of Chinese cuisine, service standards, and restaurant procedures.
- Customer Service: Resolve guest complaints and inquiries promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive dining experience for all patrons.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and oversee sanitation practices to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
- Event Management: Coordinate with the events team for banquet functions, ensuring smooth execution and exceptional service delivery.
Requirements and skills
- Experience: Solid experience in Chinese and banquet restaurant operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of Chinese cuisine, traditional dining customs, and banquet service protocols.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Demonstrated ability to address operational challenges and guest concerns effectively and efficiently.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required in the hospitality industry.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and adjust operations accordingly to meet guest needs and business demands.
