About

In this specialised position, you will oversee the complete training strategy, competency development framework, and professional growth plans for the firm’s financial representatives. Working within the Product and Training Department, you will ensure onboarding programmes, ongoing learning initiatives, and regulatory monitoring processes meet industry expectations and organisational goals. Your responsibilities will focus on strengthening adviser capabilities, managing learning platforms, and partnering with internal teams to enhance training effectiveness.

Training Strategy: Design and implement structured training programmes and development plans for new representatives, existing advisers, and sales leadership teams.

Program Management: Manage the full training lifecycle, including content development, programme delivery, and performance evaluation through various learning channels.

Regulatory Compliance: Collaborate with compliance teams and subject matter experts to ensure training content and sales practices remain accurate and aligned with regulatory requirements.

Competency Tracking: Manage the Learning Management System to evaluate training outcomes, monitor attendance, and track Continuing Professional Development requirements.

Product Onboarding: Perform product reviews and conduct training sessions on investment and insurance solutions to ensure appropriate understanding and distribution practices.

Team & Management

You will be part of a structured Product and Training team that encourages collaboration, professional excellence, and knowledge exchange. Reporting to the Head of Department, you will collaborate closely with compliance and business development teams to create effective learning solutions. The team environment supports continuous development and prioritises strong advisory capabilities.

Skills & Experience Requirements

Education: Diploma qualification or higher, with a university degree being preferred.

Experience: At least 5 years of experience in training and competency development within the financial services sector, particularly within a life insurance company or licensed financial advisory organisation.

Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with industry regulations and standards, including the Financial Advisers Act and Life Insurance Association guidelines.

Licensing: Hold or be eligible to obtain CMFAS certifications including RES5, 9, 9A, HI, 8, 8A, CM-EIP, and CM-SIP, with additional professional qualifications such as AFC, AFP, or ChFC considered advantageous.

Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Learning Management Systems, Articulate, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Office tools.

Core Skills: Strong capabilities in training delivery, presentation, facilitation, and professional communication.
