Treasury Investment Analyst

A company in the banking industry is hiring for an Investment Analyst position.

This is an exciting opportunity for a research-driven professional to contribute to investment decision-making through in-depth economic analysis, market research, and fundamental evaluation of investment opportunities. The role offers exposure to regional markets across Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia, while supporting strategic investment initiatives through data-driven insights and financial analysis.

1. Conduct macroeconomic and microeconomic research, including forecasting and analysis of corporates across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and India to identify potential investment opportunities.
2. Monitor and analyze macroeconomic data releases, economic developments, and political events, producing timely and accurate reports and insights.
3. Support internal business units with research and analysis requirements, including stress testing exercises.
4. Perform detailed fundamental analysis of investment targets and prepare comprehensive quantitative and qualitative research reports.
5. Identify emerging sectors and new asset classes for potential investment opportunities.
6. Prepare reports, presentations, and data-driven recommendations for management and key stakeholders.
7. Participate in occasional business travel and support ad-hoc projects as required.

1. Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Finance, or a related discipline.
2. Preferably 3 to 5 years of relevant experience within the banking industry.
3. Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities with experience in data analysis, statistical analysis, and econometric modelling.
4. Proficiency in Bloomberg and Excel, including the use of Excel macros.
5. Strong report writing, presentation, and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with senior management.
6. Experience in financial modelling, cash flow analysis, and balance sheet analysis.
7. Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
8. Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to research and problem-solving.
