Treasury Specialist (India Rates)

We are seeking a versatile professional to fill the dual role of a Treasury specialist and India Rates Trader. This role involves managing collateral positions in Indian Government Bonds (IGB) while overseeing Treasury cash and foreign exchange operations. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter who can operate in the region independently and will have experience trading India rates, FX and managing the associated risk.

This function will cover a number of areas including:

• IGB Trade Execution and hedging
• India rates market analysis
• Risk, Cash and Collateral Management
• FX hedging

Several of the responsibilities of the role in the near/medium term are:

• Execute trades in the Indian rates market, ensuring optimal pricing and timely execution
• Understand market trends, trading opportunities and risk in India rates
• Monitor and manage risk associated with collateral trading activities, adhering to the firm's risk management policies
• Optimize Cash & Collateral posted to counterparties
• Manage internal cost allocation model in line with global efforts
• Partner with business and operations to deliver new solutions which expand the platform our PMs are able to trade on

Qualifications:

• An undergraduate or Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline
• 5+ years India rates Trading
• Additional Asia Emerging Markets Rates Trading - useful but not essential
• Treasury or Primer Brokerage experience - useful but not essential
