UI/UX Engineer (Banking, Central)

As a UI/UX Engineer (Hybrid), you will be responsible for the design and development of front-end applications that meet the needs of the user. You will play a key role in designing user-centric flows and translating design concepts into seamless and visually appealing user interfaces. If you’re a hybrid creative problem solver who is passionate about both frontend development and UX design.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with UX designers to understand design goals and implement intuitive and visually compelling user interfaces.
• Work closely with UX team to produce high-fidelity prototypes for user testing and end-development handover. You will also explore and develop sandbox/prototyping environments to incubate innovative ideas as part of the UX team.
• Develop reusable and modular UI components to ensure consistency and efficiency across applications, as well as contributing to the development and maintenance of a design system to facilitate efficient UI development.
• Implement responsive design principles to ensure optimal user experiences across various devices and screen sizes.
• Work closely with backend developers to integrate APIs across the platforms.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to established design language and UI guidelines.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in frontend engineering.
• Perform quality assurance (UAT) and debugging on UI elements to ensure accurate implementation and functionality.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a UI/UX Engineer, Frontend Developer or UX Designer (with coding Proficiency), showcasing a strong portfolio of past projects.
• Proficient understanding of languages such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.
• Solid experience with frontend frameworks/libraries (e.g., React, Vue.js). 
• Strong understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility. 
• Experience with Git.
• Familiarity with UI/UX design principles and industry tools (e.g. Figma, Sketch) and the ability to collaborate effectively with UX designers.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. 
• Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. 
• Passion for staying updated on the latest industry trends and technologies.
