UI/UX Lead Designer (Government) J44278 - Immediate Start

Responsibilities:

1. Lead the visual design strategy and execution for digital products, ensuring a cohesive and visually appealing user interface across web and mobile platforms.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UX designers, product managers, and developers, to translate wireframes and prototypes into visually stunning and functional user interfaces.
3. Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and visual standards to ensure consistency and brand alignment across all digital touchpoints. 
4. Create high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, and visual assets that effectively communicate the intended user experience and design direction, considering the unique requirements of government service delivery.
5. Conduct thorough design reviews and provide constructive feedback to junior designers.
6. Stay updated on industry trends, emerging design technologies, and best practices, and advocate for the integration of innovative design solutions. 
7. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand public service objectives and citizen needs, translating them into visually compelling and intuitive design solutions that enhance the user experience of government digital services. 
8. Advocate for user-centered design principles and ensure that the visual design aligns with usability and accessibility standards, promoting an inclusive and user-friendly digital experience for all citizens within the government ecosystem.
9. Participate in user testing and iterate on designs based on user feedback, contributing to the continuous improvement of the user experience and the effectiveness of government digital services.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Visual UI Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of digital design projects.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or similar applications.
• In-depth understanding of user interface design principles, typography, color theory, and layout techniques, with a focus on meeting the unique needs of citizens and stakeholders in the public service domain.
• Strong knowledge of design systems, responsive design, and mobile-first design principles, with a commitment to delivering accessible and inclusive digital experiences for diverse user groups within the Government ecosystems.
• Experience in leading and mentoring junior designers. providing guidance and feedback on design projects within the context of government service delivery.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, familiar with front-end development technologies and their impact on design feasibility
