Underwriter - Personal Lines

Our client provides regional personal lines underwriting and is looking for an Underwriter to help evaluate and manage insurance risks across core personal lines products. In this role, you’ll assess applications, make underwriting decisions, and support the day-to-day flow of policies to ensure risks are priced and handled appropriately. Your work is important because it directly impacts the quality of the portfolio and the organisation’s ability to deliver reliable coverage for customers.

Role Overview:
Working within the wider underwriting team, you’ll be responsible for assessing personal lines insurance risks and helping ensure decisions are made accurately and consistently.

Key Skills & Experience:
• Underwriting experience in personal lines insurance
• Knowledge of PLU Mobile Device
• Knowledge of PLU Home Insurance
• Knowledge of PLU Travel
• Knowledge of PLU Auto

Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and evaluate personal lines insurance applications
• Make underwriting decisions for day-to-day policy activity
• Support the underwriting process for products including Mobile Device, Home Insurance, Travel, and Auto
• Help maintain accurate handling of risks within the personal lines portfolio

Requirements:
• Relevant experience underwriting personal lines insurance
• Ability to work on-site as required
• Strong knowledge of the organisation’s personal lines products (Mobile Device, Home Insurance, Travel, Auto)
