Role Summary

The Experience Design Center (XDC) is in search of a highly motivated UX Design Manager. This experienced, hands-on leader will guide small teams in creating exceptional digital user experiences. The role requires building strong relationships with product owners and collaborating with cross-functional teams to establish strategic direction. The manager will work closely with functional leadership to ensure alignment with deadlines and deliverables. Additionally, this position involves supporting and guiding team members to help them achieve their career goals and develop their skill sets.

• Manage a small team of designers while being hands-on
• Oversee programs and initiatives in UX
• Ensure timely completion of projects
• Maintain quality standards for user experiences
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders
• Adapt to changing circumstances in the work environment
• Steward exceptional user experiences throughout the processes

• Experienced people manager​
• Experienced in analyzing qualitative and quantitative data with competitive products​
• Suggest various types of testing, surveys, and interviews​
• Seasoned heuristic evaluations with defined next-step outcomes​
• Exceptional usability testing of interaction effectiveness​
• Expert in organizing and executing program-level design strategy​
• Master and create clear design objectives and vision, business alignment direction​
• Advanced strategies and document user design stories​
• Suggest and evaluate design systems that can accommodate product requirements​
• Facilitate large product brainstorming sessions/workshops to generate clear ideas and solutions​
• Strategize and create sitemaps that outline the content scope
• Design exceptional and intuitive navigation systems​
• Sketch/Document UI and complex user interaction early design concepts​​
• Utilize Figma software to an advanced level of proficiency​
• Highly experienced with Miro and other collaborative whiteboarding applications​
• Proficient in the standard suite of Microsoft applications

Education & Experience

The candidate should possess a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a related field of study, preferred but not required, or certificate programs will also be considered. 8 - 10 years related or equivalent experience.
