Valuation Controller Analyst (Banking, Central, 12 Month Contract)

Responsibilities: 

- Work closely within VCG, Rates and PC team on rates sourcing process (end-to-end from source to distribution)

- Assist VCG & Rates team for daily BAUs including rate configurations and resolving rate exceptions/investigations

- Perform trending analysis of key market data drivers giving more insights to daily movement.

- Assist with testing of projects and initiatives in rates automation & enhancements across VCG and Rates team, as well as tracking and following up on the status of the various initiatives.

- Responsible for delivery of end of day market data for EOD valuation for an asset class.

Required Skills and Experience:

1. Financial Product Knowledge: Understanding of interest rates, fixed income, derivatives, and valuation processes.
2. Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with market data platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters); SQL or Python knowledge is a plus.
3. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze market trends, resolve data discrepancies, and ensure accurate valuations.
4. Collaboration and Communication: Strong teamwork and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
5. Experience and Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 2–5 years of experience in valuation control, financial operations, or market data analysis; certifications like CFA or FRM are a bonus.
