Vice President (Credit Risk and Evaluation) #seekbetter

Key Responsibilities:

1) Credit Analysis:

• Perform detailed credit & rating review with analysis for potential & existing loan portfolios (both local & overseas) by evaluating financial statements, credit proposal and other relevant information.

2) Industry Analysis:

• Stay abreast of industry trends and economic developments to assess potential risks to our credit portfolio.
• Conduct thorough industry analysis to identify emerging risks and opportunities that may impact on lending decisions.

3) Risk Mitigation Strategies

• Recommend appropriate risk-based pricing and credit risk management techniques to maintain balanced risk-reward profiles.

4) Portfolio Monitoring

• Monitor credit portfolio performance on regular basis and proactively identify early warning signals of credit deterioration. Work closely with Credit Evaluation and Credit Admin teams to ensure timely approval.

5) Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor a team of risk analysts, fostering a collaborative and high performance work environment.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Business/ Finance/ Economics or other related course.
• Extensive experience (typically 6-8 years) in credit risk management, with strong focus on credit analysis, loan synopsis and industry analysis.
• In-depth knowledge of credit risk models, methodologies and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate credit risk insights to senior management and stakeholders.
• Able to travel to oversea when required.
• Strong business acumen and able to balance between risk & commercial requirement.
• Strong command in English and proficient in Chinese language (to interact with Chinese-speaking associates and assess proposals written in Chinese)
