Job Description

Mission & Impact

Reporting to the Head of Convergence Services, this role is part of a high-impact, SWAT-style transformation unit focused on solving UOB’s most complex cross-functional challenges.

The role supports deep diagnostic reviews across Business and Support Units, contributes to identifying structural root causes, and helps design integrated, future-ready services leveraging enterprise platforms such as AI/ML, data and analytics, workflow automation, integration/microservices, blockchain, tokenization, and emerging capabilities.

The candidate will play a key role in executing platform initiatives, enabling partner integration, and supporting innovation programmes, contributing to the bank’s evolution into a network-platform organization.

Key Responsibilities

Support Platform and Network Services Growth

  • Collaborate with business units to develop platform and on-demand service use cases.
  • Support partner onboarding activities, including integration, testing, and deployment readiness.
  • Contribute to expanding ecosystem connectivity and network-service capabilities.

Execute within a SWAT-Style Convergence Delivery Model

  • Participate in rapid deployment into priority problem areas using structured engagement models.
  • Conduct diagnostic activities, including root cause analysis, process mapping, stakeholder interviews, and data analysis.
  • Deliver end-to-end remediation from assessment to prototype to rollout within defined timelines.

Develop Reusable Enterprise Blueprints & Accelerators

  • Assist in documenting recurring patterns into reusable templates (e.g., process models, integration designs, API standards).
  • Work with technology and domain teams to help develop scalable, compliant modules.
  • Establish and maintain an organizational knowledge repository to scale best practices across markets.

Support Multi-Domain Innovation Integration

  • Work across AI, Data, Blockchain, Automation, and Developer Platforms to support converged solutions.
  • Apply established design principles to ensure consistency and interoperability.
  • Ensure deliverables align with enterprise governance, security, and risk standards.

Build and Operationalize Strategic Partnerships

  • Develop and scale partnerships with fintechs and service providers.
  • Implement structured onboarding, sandbox access, certification, data‑sharing, security assessments, commercial alignment.
  • Co‑create partner roadmaps that extend the bank’s network‑service capabilities.

Contribute to Emerging Technology Initiatives

  • Participate in experimentation cycles (e.g., prototyping, testing, evaluation).
  • Help mature successful prototypes into deployable solutions with required documentation.

Promote Innovation and Engineering Practices

  • Adopt and apply modern engineering practices, agile methodologies, and experimentation techniques.
  • Contribute ideas and participate in innovation initiatives and capability-building programmes.
  • Engage with Innovation Academy programmes to build relevant skills.

Support Process and Value Design

  • Assist in defining process flows, integration needs, and data standards.
  • Support development of value hypotheses and tracking of outcomes (cost, revenue, efficiency, experience).

Produce Quality Delivery Artefacts

  • Develop and maintain documentation such as process maps, user stories, BRDs, and business cases.
  • Ensure artefacts meet standards, are well-documented, and ready for implementation teams.

Support Stakeholder Coordination

  • Work with business, technology, and risk stakeholders to support alignment and execution.
  • Track progress, prepare updates, and help maintain execution cadence.
  • Assist in governance, reporting, and communication activities.

Qualifications

Core Experience

  • 4–8 years of experience in technology, digital services, enterprise platforms, or transformation initiatives.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams within complex organizations.
  • Exposure to enterprise-scale projects or platform implementations is advantageous.

Technical & Domain Expertise

  • Foundational understanding of APIs, microservices, integration patterns, and distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with AI, data platforms, automation, or emerging technologies is a plus.
  • Basic hands-on proficiency in one or more languages (e.g., Python, Java, Node.js) preferred.

  • Clear communicator with ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proactive, collaborative, and able to work effectively in fast-paced environments.
