VP/ Director, Global Markets Transformation APAC

Our client, a leading international financial institution, is seeking an experienced Transformation Director to lead strategic initiatives across its Global Markets business in Asia Pacific.

Responsibilities

This is a regional role responsible for driving complex, front-to-back transformation programmes spanning business growth, operating model enhancements, regulatory change and process improvements. The successful candidate will work closely with senior stakeholders across Front Office, Operations, Risk, Technology and other support and control functions to deliver strategic priorities across the region.

You will lead and execute regional transformation initiatives aimed at enhancing business capabilities, improving operational efficiency and strengthening the overall risk and control environment. This includes translating business strategies into actionable programmes, identifying opportunities for process improvement and driving the implementation of sustainable solutions.

Working closely with senior management and cross-functional teams, you will be responsible for aligning stakeholders across different businesses and geographies, managing competing priorities and ensuring the successful delivery of key initiatives. The role will also involve collaborating with regional and global teams to drive greater consistency in business processes, operating models and infrastructure.

Requirements

A strong understanding of Global Markets products, front-to-back processes and the associated business, risk and control considerations will be important in navigating complex transformation programmes.

The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of relevant experience within Investment Banking or Global Markets, with a background in strategic transformation, business management, programme delivery or core support and control functions.

You should possess a sound understanding of Fixed Income or Equities products, together with good knowledge of front-to-back business processes and the associated operational and regulatory requirements.

Strong commercial awareness, analytical capabilities and hands-on programme execution experience are essential. You should be comfortable engaging senior stakeholders, influencing decisions and managing complex initiatives across multiple functions and jurisdictions.

Candidates with experience working in regional or global environments, particularly those who have successfully delivered business transformation or operating model changes within Capital Markets, will be well suited to this opportunity.
