VP - Finance Manager Regulatory Reporting

Responsibilities:

- Manage the regulatory reporting team both on and offshore

-Overall responsibility for the timely and accurate submission of MAS returns for the team, ensuring reports are prepared accurately and submitted to meet required deadlines, with a focus on 610, 649, Quarterly I&E.  Supporting the preparation and completion of the local financial statements and ensuring they comply with IFRS & FRS accounting standards

- Act as central point of contact for any internal or external queries relating to MAS or financial reporting requirements.  This will require being able to articulate complex regulatory requirements to non technical senior stakeholders as well as third party vendors when required

- Initiate and manage relevant projects to improve MAS regulatory reporting processes to ensure continuity of compliance, enhancement of data quality and that a robust control framework is maintained.  Support the MAS 610 project team in testing, problem resolution and solution design

Prerequisites for role:

- 8-10 years post-qualified experience within the financial services industry with strong financial control and regulatory reporting functions in a global banking environment and an in depth knowledge of MAS regulatory reporting returns, co-dependencies and inter-relatedness

- The ability to think creatively, drive change initiatives and outstanding communication skills are essential skills for this role

- Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent would be highly regarded, strong academic history essential

- Effective team and stakeholder management experience is a pre-requisite and international experience would also be highly regarded
