Job Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and execution of FDIA's strategic marketing plan, including flagship initiatives such as the ASEAN Conference, ASEAN Insights, FDI Knowledge Centre, and the 10X job creation initiative across ASEAN.
  • Curate, refresh, and develop high-impact marketing assets with the latest FDI insights, sectoral trends, and corridor-based perspectives to support regional teams in advising foreign corporates on ASEAN expansion and to strengthen UOB's FDI thought leadership.
  • Build and translate market intelligence into actionable insights by identifying emerging FDI trends and opportunities, and working closely with market teams to drive execution and outcomes.
  • Partner with Group Communications and Brand to consistently position the Bank as a preferred partner for foreign investments into ASEAN through integrated branding, media, and thought leadership initiatives.
  • Conceptualise and deliver targeted events, forums, and webinars to generate qualified prospects and deepen market awareness of FDIA's advisory services, with clear ROI frameworks jointly tracked with market leads.
  • Support the preparation and submission of industry awards and recognitions to profile FDIA's capabilities and reinforce UOB's market leadership in ASEAN FDI advisory.
Experience
  • Minimum 8-12 years of experience in strategic marketing, integrated marketing, or business development, preferably within banking, financial services, professional services, or advisory-led organisations.
  • Proven track record in regional or multi-market marketing roles, with exposure to ASEAN or cross-border businesses.
  • Experience leading thought leadership initiatives, large-scale events, and flagship programmes that support business outcomes such as deal origination, pipeline development, or market positioning.
  • Prior experience working closely with senior stakeholders across markets and functions, including Communications, Brand, and business teams.
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong strategic thinking and execution capability, with the ability to translate market intelligence and insights into impactful marketing initiatives.
  • Sound understanding of FDI, cross-border investment themes, or economic/sectoral trends affecting international expansion (or the ability to grasp these quickly).
  • Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence across markets and functions.
  • Strong content and narrative development skills, particularly in thought leadership, insights-driven marketing, and executive-level communications.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects end-to-end, including budgeting, timelines, and ROI tracking.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the confidence to engage internal and external audiences.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • A postgraduate qualification (e.g. MBA or relevant professional certifications) would be an advantage but not mandatory.
