VP - IT Sourcing and Vendor Management

We are looking for an experienced sourcing and vendor management professional to support the Bank's technology procurement and strategic supplier management activities. This role will work closely with technology, business, risk, legal, and finance stakeholders to drive sourcing initiatives, optimise supplier partnerships, and ensure effective governance across the technology vendor landscape.

The ideal candidate will bring strong commercial acumen, contract negotiation expertise, and the ability to manage multiple procurement engagements within a fast-paced and highly regulated environment.

1. Lead the sourcing lifecycle for technology products and services, from requirements gathering and market assessment through to supplier selection and contract award.
2. Facilitate competitive sourcing exercises, including RFIs, RFPs, supplier due diligence, bid evaluations, and recommendation processes.
3. Develop sourcing strategies that align with business objectives while maximizing commercial value and risk mitigation.

1. Drive commercial discussions and negotiations with vendors to achieve favourable pricing, contractual terms, and service commitments.
2. Partner with legal and business stakeholders to review, structure, and finalise technology and outsourcing agreements.
3. Ensure contractual arrangements adequately address operational, regulatory, and business requirements.

1. Build and manage relationships with key technology partners to support long-term business and technology objectives.
2. Monitor supplier performance and collaborate with vendors to address service gaps, improve outcomes, and deliver continuous value.
3. Support strategic vendor engagement initiatives and contribute to strengthening the overall supplier ecosystem.

1. Provide advisory support on procurement policies, third-party risk considerations, outsourcing requirements, and governance frameworks.
2. Ensure sourcing activities are conducted in accordance with internal controls, regulatory expectations, and corporate procurement standards.
3. Maintain appropriate documentation and audit trails throughout the procurement lifecycle.

1. Collaborate with technology and business leaders to understand demand, identify market opportunities, and deliver effective sourcing solutions.
2. Manage multiple concurrent procurement projects while ensuring timelines, quality standards, and governance requirements are met.
3. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance sourcing efficiency, supplier performance, and value realisation.

1. Minimum 10 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, vendor management, contract management, or a related discipline.
2. Proven track record managing technology procurement engagements, including competitive sourcing events and supplier negotiations.
3. Strong understanding of technology procurement practices, outsourcing arrangements, and vendor governance principles.
4. Experience working within banking, financial services, or other highly regulated industries is preferred.
5. Demonstrated ability to engage and influence stakeholders across technology, business, legal, risk, finance, and procurement functions.
6. Strong commercial mindset with excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
7. Ability to prioritise and manage multiple initiatives in a dynamic and deadline-driven environment.
8. Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management capabilities.
9. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.\
