VP, Market Risk (Oil & Gas)

Description

• Provide independent oversight of market risk exposures across trading portfolios, ensuring accurate and timely risk reporting.
• Perform daily analysis of mark-to-market movements, P&L and exposure drivers across commodity positions.
• Monitor VaR, stress testing and scenario analysis against approved risk limits and escalate issues where required.
• Partner closely with trading teams to assess risk implications of trading strategies and new products.
• Drive enhancements in risk reporting, controls, automation and data visualisation.

Profile

• Minimum 10 years of market risk experience within commodities or energy trading environments.
• Strong hands-on experience in VaR, stress testing and market risk analytics.
• Proven ability to analyse P&L drivers, exposures and trading positions.
• Prior exposure to oil, gas, LNG, power or related commodities is highly preferred.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage and challenge front office teams where needed.
