The VP, Operations is a multi‑plant manufacturing leader accountable for end‑to‑end operational performance, cost leadership, and disciplined execution of the strategic plan across a portfolio of sites. This role leads site Managing Directors, sets the operations strategy (safety, quality, delivery, cost, people), drives Lean/CI and productivity programmes, governs project execution (capacity, industrialisation, footprint, and capex), and owns inside‑sales/order‑management excellence from quote‑to‑order to on‑time shipment. The role partners closely with Commercial, Analytics, and Finance to align S&OP, forecasting (incl. QxF cadence), CRM/ERP data quality, and Power BI reporting to deliver predictable revenue, margin expansion, and superior customer experience.
The role requires exceptional executive leadership with a deep commitment to building organizational capability and developing high‑performing teams. In parallel, the executive is accountable for strengthening the talent pipeline by developing future plant and functional leaders through structured coaching, rigorous performance management, and targeted capability‑building initiatives. The VP champions a high‑performance culture rooted in accountability, continuous improvement, and cross‑functional collaboration, serving as a visible and influential leader who elevates standards and accelerates organizational performance. The role offers clear succession opportunities subject to sustained strong performance.
Key Responsibilities
1) Leadership & Strategy
Provide strong, values‑based leadership to a global, multi‑site operations organisation; build a high‑performance, inclusive culture centred on safety, performance excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Translate the company’s 5‑year strategy into site‑level plans with targets for growth, margin, and cash
Establish governance, rhythms, and standard work across sites for consistency in core processes
2) Manufacturing Excellence & Cost Leadership
Improve end‑to‑end performance through Lean, Six Sigma, and standardised work
Deliver year‑on‑year conversion cost productivity via continuous improvement pipelines.
Optimise footprint and make/buy strategies.
3) Financial Stewardship
Own multi‑site P&L delivery, including revenue reliability, margins, absorption, overhead productivity and working capital
Govern Capex and ensure projects hit scope, budget, schedule, and benefits realisation.
4) Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), Forecasting & Commercial Alignment
Lead S&OP to balance demand/supply and protect lead times and Book‑to‑Ship delivery.partner with Commercial and Analytics lead on the quarterly forecasting cadence through accurate operational inputs, scenario‑based, and backed by data.
Provide weekly/monthly executive dashboards on capacity, throughput, yields, backlog, lead times, and delivery risk.
5) Inside Sales & Order Management
Drive excellence in quotation responsiveness, quote‑to‑order conversion, order accuracy, and promise‑date integrity
Enforce CRM/ERP data governance and pricing discipline aligned with cost and margin targetsAlign pricing governance with margin targets and cost realities; support quote strategies for engineered‑to‑order and configure‑to‑order offerings.
6) Safety, Quality, Compliance
Champion a zero‑harm safety culture; ensure adherence to IMI’s Health, Safety & Environmental standards and regulatory requirements.
Own product quality and compliance; reduce Cost of Poor Quality via robust product and quality planning processcapability, and problem‑solving process.
7) Talent, Culture & Change
Build, coach, and succession‑plan a strong bench of Managing Directors and functional leaders; elevate capabilities in Lean, problem‑solving, analytics, and programme delivery.
Foster an inclusive, engaging environment where teams take pride in customer satisfaction, business performance, and continuous improvement.
Lead change at pace; communicate a compelling vision and mobilise the organisation through transformation.
Critical Competencies for Success
· End‑to‑End Operational and Financial Leadership: Proven ability to lead multiple sites, deliver productivity and margin improvement, and manage full financial accountability.

· Operational Excellence and Execution Discipline: Brings deep expertise in continuous‑improvement methods and has a proven ability to increase equipment effectiveness, reduce quality‑related losses, and lead complex industrial projects with disciplined planning and benefit realisation.
· Integrated Business Planning and Digital Enablement: Strong sales and operation capacity planning, and forecasting capability; able to drive data quality, BI reporting, and standardised

· Enterprise‑Level Leadership and Cross‑Functional Influence: Develops high‑performing teams, builds robust talent pipelines, and partners effectively across commercial, product, finance, and operations—especially in engineered or customised product environments
Experience & Qualifications
Experience: 15+ years in manufacturing/operations leadership roles with proven ability to deliver step‑change results in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and cash and to drive transformation.
Background: Engineered products, industrial equipment, or process automation; exposure to global, multinational environments and complex supply chains.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations, or related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
Certifications (Preferred): Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent; PMP or programme management certification a plus.
Willing to travel at least 30%-40% of the time to sites as needed.
