Warehouse Assistant Manager

Work Week: 5.5 days
Location: Jurong Industrial Estate (Jalan Buroh)

Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations Management

• Support daily warehouse activities including inbound receiving, storage, picking, packing, and outbound shipments.

• Monitor workflow to meet productivity and service level targets.

• Identify and resolve operational issues to prevent delays.

Chemical & Dangerous Goods Handling

• Ensure proper storage and segregation of hazardous materials.

• Enforce compliance with safety procedures, EHS standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Support internal audits, safety inspections, and compliance checks.

Inventory Management

• Oversee stock accuracy and inventory control.

• Conduct cycle counts and investigate discrepancies.

• Ensure accurate WMS updates and monitor space utilisation.

Team Supervision

• Supervise warehouse supervisors, forklift drivers, and assistants.

• Plan manpower deployment and shift arrangements.

• Ensure staff follow SOPs and safety standards; support training.

Customer & Account Support

• Work closely with customer service teams to support key accounts.

• Ensure operational KPIs and service levels are met.

• Assist in resolving shipment-related issues.

Reporting & Performance Monitoring

• Prepare operational reports and performance updates.

• Track KPIs including productivity, accuracy, and turnaround time.

• Escalate concerns to management as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of warehouse operations experience, 1 year in a supervisory or team lead role.
• Familiar with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Experience in chemical logistics or DG warehouse operations preferred.
