WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS EXECUTIVE

Warehouse operations in newspaper and transport Services job descriptions involve managing the end-to-end flow of bulk print media and freight. Responsibilities bridge facility storage with fleet distribution, focusing on the timely receiving, sorting, and dispatching of goods according to strict delivery schedules.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Receiving & Put-Away: Unloading inbound newsprint, bulk publications, or freight shipments and verifying delivery manifests. 
• Sorting & Inventory Control: Organizing and labeling materials. Maintaining accurate stock levels for daily replenishment and distribution. 
• Picking & Packing: Fulfilling specific bulk or localized orders. Preparing newspapers, bundles, or cargo for the transport and courier network. 
• Transport Coordination: Liaising with dispatch teams and drivers. Ensuring loading schedules meet tight distribution deadlines and service level agreements (SLAs). 
• Loading & Dispatch: Securing, loading, and unloading transport vehicles efficiently. Ensuring proper weight distribution and cargo safety compliance. 

Requirements & Skills

• Physical Stamina & Handling: Ability to handle, lift, and stack bulky bundles of newspapers or heavy cargo for extended periods.
• Time Management: Critical ability to meet strict publication or transport deadlines.
• Attention to Detail: Accuracy in fulfilling orders and ensuring no damaged products are dispatched.
• Equipment Proficiency: Competency in operating pallet jacks, forklifts, or other material handling equipment. Basic knowledge of logistics software or handheld scanners. 

Requirements and skills

• Proven working experience as a business development, sales executive or a relevant role
• Proven sales track record
• Experience in customer support is a plus
• Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)
