Job Description - Workplace Safety & Facilities Officer

Description

“In the beginning I looked around and could not find quite the car I dreamed of. So I decided to build it myself.“ This quote from our founder Ferry Porsche is at the heart of everything we do.

Pioneering spirit has guided us since the beginning – now for more than 70 years. With commitment, passion and enthusiasm, we courageously seek new and untrodden pathways. Porsche Singapore Pte Ltd is the latest embodiment of this trailblazing philosophy - a new luxury automotive retail venture and Porsche-owned subsidiary set to operate Porsche car sales from 2023 onwards.

With a multi-platform enabled and direct luxury retail approach, Porsche Singapore is poised to deliver new and unique experiences for Porsche fans in Singapore. Because if you want others' hearts to beat faster, you have to carry your own in the right place.

Developing the luxury automotive retail experience of tomorrow. Growing within the international Porsche ecosystem. Always surpassing yourself. Working at Porsche offers many challenges.

Porsche Singapore is seeking an experienced and proactive Workplace Safety & Facilities Officer to oversee workplace safety, compliance, and facilities operations across office, retail, and service centre environments. The role ensures a safe, compliant, and operationally efficient workplace in line with regulatory requirements and Porsche’s standards.

  • Conduct workplace inspections, risk assessments, and hazard identification across all operational areas, and investigate incidents, accidents, near misses, and unsafe acts through root-cause analysis, implementing corrective and preventive actions to mitigate risks, prevent recurrence, and strengthen workplace safety performance and culture.
  • Develop, maintain, and ensure accuracy of all WSH documentation and records, including certifications, permits, inspections, risk assessments, incidents, training records, corrective actions, and safety reports to support regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and continuous improvement.
  • Plan, coordinate, and conduct workplace safety training, toolbox meetings, and safety inductions to strengthen employee safety awareness, compliance, and adherence to safe work practices.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules (including repairs) and oversee daily facilities operations, building systems, and machinery to ensure safe, functional, and compliant workplace environments, with proper upkeep and safe operation of equipment and machines.
  • Manage and track all maintenance and facilities activities, including contractor and vendor coordination, asset records, inventory, servicing schedules, asset lifecycle management (including disposal), and compliance-related documentation to ensure operational reliability, efficiency, and audit readiness.
  • Support Business Continuity Management (BCM) and facilities readiness planning to ensure operational continuity during disruptions.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for workplace safety and facilities matters, liaising with employees, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities to manage inspections, respond to queries, provide required documentation, and coordinate compliance actions.

Requirements
  • Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents (SPR) preferred.
  • Diploma and/or a Bachelor’s Degree in Workplace Safety and Health, or a related discipline.
  • Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer with the Ministry of Manpower
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as WSHO, preferably in automotive, manufacturing, or industrial environments.

  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage employees, regulatory authorities, and external stakeholders effectively.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risks, interpret data, and provide practical, solution-oriented recommendations.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and highly organised, with strong attention to detail, a proactive “can-do” attitude, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced operational environment.
