BUYER (FMCG)

Responsibilities

- Sourcing for goods in a timely and effective manner

- Liaising with overseas suppliers on price negotiations

- Ensure quality, reliability and cost management of every purchase committed

- Ensure timely orders for daily requisitions from clients/ outlets

- Able to execute urgent orders and follow-up in a timely delivery process

- Prepare purchase order, schedule and logistics arrangement and expedite delivery

- Arrange shipment for import/ export

- Monitor stock level and put up a purchase requisition when stocks are low

- Coordination with warehouse for stock items and other deliveries and orders

- Arrange of goods returned to suppliers when necessary

- Generate cost analysis and monthly purchasing reports

- Generate monthly inventory report

- Maintain suppliers database information

- Source and propose new suppliers when necessary

- Filing and processing of necessary paperwork for every requisition with accordance to company guidelines

- Perform other administration duties as assigned by superior

Requirements

- Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Supply Chain Management or equivalent.

- At least 2 years of working experience in purchasing or procurement

- Good exposure in sourcing/ procurement environment

- Good interpersonal skills

- Strong communication skills

- Well-organized and responsible with an aptitude in problem solving

- Must possess initiative and able to work independently with positive attitude

- Able to work well under pressure
