Procurement Assistant

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Prepare cost comparison worksheet and purchase orders, for end users and department originating requestors.
2. Compare suppliers’ bills with bids and purchase orders to verify accuracy.
3. Prepare, maintain, and review purchasing files, reports and price lists.
4. Check shipments when they arrive to ensure that orders have been placed correctly and meet specifications.
5. Track the status of requisitions, contracts, and orders.
6. Perform buying duties when necessary.
7. Review requisition orders to verify accuracy, terminology, and specifications.
8. Respond to requestor inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations.
9. Locate suppliers, using sources such as catalogs and the internet, to gather information about products to be ordered.

Job Requirements

Detailed, analytical, dynamic, and able to meet tight deadlines.

Good communication skills in Mandarin and English (to be able to liaise and coordinate with Mandarin speaking external parties).

Computer literate and proficient with MS Office and MS Excel.

Have at least 2 years of relevant working experience.
