Job Summary

You will manage procurement of metal materials and related products, ensuring cost-effective sourcing, timely delivery, and strong supplier relationships to support ongoing construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure metal materials and related products to meet project requirements efficiently
• Obtain and compare quotations from multiple suppliers to secure optimal price, quality, and delivery terms
• Negotiate competitive pricing and delivery conditions while building and maintaining strong supplier relationships
• Coordinate with project and site teams to understand material needs and align delivery schedules accordingly
• Arrange transportation, collection, and delivery logistics to ensure smooth material flow to sites
• Monitor delivery timelines and proactively follow up with suppliers to guarantee on-time supply
• Collaborate with workshop and site personnel to facilitate accurate receipt and handling of materials
• Maintain precise procurement records and documentation for audit and tracking purposes
• Identify and implement opportunities to reduce procurement costs without compromising quality or delivery

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience in metal works, steel fabrication, construction, or related industries
• Basic knowledge of metal materials and industry products
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with suppliers, project teams, and site personnel.
• Good negotiation, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
