Senior Procurement Executive

• Lead the sourcing and price negotiation for frozen poultry and seafood commodities.
• Monitor global protein pricing, supply trends,and market intelligence to make proactive buying decisions.
• Perform SKU and customer rationalization analysis (profitability banding, cash flow modeling, and MOQ structuring) to drive business profitability.
• Review and verify critical trade documentation prior to shipping or inventory acceptance.
• Coordinate directly with freight forwarders and shipping agents for seamless customs declaration, clearance, and resolving import exceptions.
• Oversee end-to-end trade finance processes including Bill of Lading tracking, CAD/bank collections, MT103 payments, and container release-on-trust requests.
• Evaluate supplier credit terms, monitor warehouse/storage costs, verify 3PL/haulier invoices, and strategically prioritize supplier payments alongside the Finance team.
• Partner with Finance, Logistics, and Sales on budget cycles, commercial planning, and ad-hoc trading item requests.
• Provide guidance and support to the team for daily purchase requests, document queries (Halal/Health certificates), and issue resolution for our operating hubs.
• Manage container shipments and stock withdrawals with third-party cold storage facilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related
• Minimum 3–5 years of procurement or supply chain experience, ideally within the F&B, frozen food, or perishable commodities sector.
• Proficient in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Strong familiarity with international shipping terms, customs clearance, and trade finance instruments (CAD, Bill of Lading, MT103).
• Excellent with numbers, with proven experience in cost monitoring, profitability modeling, and SKU rationalization.
• A strong negotiator and collaborator who can smoothly manage relationships with suppliers, financial institutions, and internal sales teams.
