Senior/Engineering Executive (Tuas South Incineration Plant)

What the role is

Tuas South Incineration Plant (TSIP) is the fourth waste-to-energy plant built in Singapore at a cost of S$890 million. Completed in June 2000, the Plant was designed to incinerate 3,000 tonnes of waste daily with its 6 incinerator units.

What you will be working on

You will work at Tuas South Incineration Plant as Senior Engineering Executive/Engineering Executive to ensure the safe and effective operation and maintenance of the mechanical equipment and systems in the plant. You will be responsible for the following:

• To distribute, supervise and attend to daily job card and ensure overhaul programmes are implemented
• To carry out scheduled preventive maintenance
• To ensure unscheduled outages of plant equipment are attended to expeditiously
• To carry out tasks as assigned by Engineers / Engineering managers.
• To review and improve preventive maintenance programme and overhaul programme
• To assist Engineers / Engineering managers in procurement of services and spare parts
• To supervise technicians and contracted workers
• To undertake projects assigned by Engineers / Engineering managers to improve the reliability, effectiveness and efficiency of the Plant's equipment and process.
• To ensure all works are carried out in compliance with the relevant statutory safety requirements

What we are looking for

• Diploma in Mechanical ngineering
• Must be computer literate
• Ability to work independently
• A good team player with strong interpersonal skills
• Good interpersonal communication skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Organised and able to multi-task
• Outgoing and pleasant personality
• Mature, independent and resourceful
• Highly self-motivated
• Able and willing to work on weekends/public holidays and after office hours
