Assistant Facilities Engineer

Job Summary

Support the Facilities Manager in delivering facility management services, including maintenance, operations, and vendor coordination. Ensure reliable operations, compliance with requirements, and continuous improvement in service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily facilities operations and maintenance activities
• Ensure services meet client agreements and performance targets
• Coordinate vendors and contractors for maintenance and project works
• Assist in preventive maintenance, energy management, and reliability programs
• Monitor building systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) for smooth operations
• Maintain documentation and prepare reports as required
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and statutory regulations
• Support continuous improvement, sustainability, and operational initiatives
• Provide on-site and emergency support when required

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
• Knowledge or exposure to facilities, maintenance, or engineering operations
• Familiarity with manufacturing or controlled environments is an advantage
• Open to fresh graduates (entry-level candidates considered)
• Experience in semiconductor or similar environments is a plus, not required
• Basic understanding of safety and environmental practices
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Able to manage multiple tasks and work on-site
• Willing to respond to operational or emergency situations when required
