Facilities Manager

About the job:

• Manage and collaborate closely with clients and end users to ensure daily operations run smoothly, without disruption, and that service expectations are consistently met.
• Oversee the delivery of Facilities Management services in accordance with contractual requirements and agreed service standards.
• Plan, coordinate, and ensure the completion of preventive and corrective maintenance activities, including the preparation and execution of annual shutdown works.
• Monitor and ensure timely renewal of licenses and certifications for regulated equipment, including lifts, air compressors, overhead cranes, scissor lifts, and other site equipment, in compliance with statutory regulations.
• Manage and supervise term contractors (e.g., Building Maintenance, Cleaning, and Pest Control) to ensure service quality, performance standards, and KPIs are achieved.
• Review and evaluate quotations submitted by contractors and service providers, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate safety audits and inspections, work closely with auditors, and ensure all findings and observations are promptly addressed and closed out.
• Support the client in conducting inventory checks for First Aid Boxes, In-Place Protection (IPP) cabinets, and other facility-related assets.
• Consolidate service reports from contractors and prepare monthly operational and maintenance reports for submission to the client.
• Manage procurement activities for facility consumables and basic purchasing functions, including raising Purchase Orders (POs) and closing orders upon completion of work or delivery of goods.
• Maintain strong stakeholder relationships and provide regular updates to clients on operational matters.
• Respond to site incidents and operational issues on a 24/7 basis and attend site when necessary to resolve critical situations.

About you:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Sustainable Infrastructure Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Specialist Diploma in Facility & Energy Management, Sustainable Facilities Management, or an equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience in facilities management, building operations, maintenance, and contractor management.
• Strong understanding of Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems, statutory compliance, and facilities maintenance best practices.
• Experience in managing service contracts, budgets, procurement, and vendor performance.
