What you'll do

The Account Manager is responsible for generating new business leads and revenue for uncrewed air solutions.

You will promote Viasat Velaris, which provides a safety services data link to uncrewed aviation for BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) connectivity.

You will understand user needs and work with partners and applications providers to recommend and deliver Viasat Velaris. Lead, capture and manage the customer accounts. This role requires a good understanding of uncrewed aerial systems environment, strong relationships within the industry, and the ability to develop and execute strategies that align with the company’s objectives. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record of achieving sales and partnership goals in a complex, technology-driven environment.

The day-to-day

  • Develops strategic market/product line business plans and programs to support sales in designated market segments; identifies volume and strategic customers; and develops partnerships.

  • Analyzes market data to identify trends/opportunities; develops strategic direction from market information and creates compelling presentations.
  • May conduct make vs. buy analysis from a partnership/acquisition perspective.
  • Conducts analysis for joint ventures, collaborative agreements, and licensing opportunities.
  • Works on and often leads projects or a program of significant/unique scope. Exercises independent judgment in coordinating methods and techniques.
  • Works independently to define the problem to be solved, chooses the appropriate method to solve it. Anticipates future needs. May direct others on day-to-day work.
  • Exercises independent judgement in helping to determine what results and metrics are most relevant and helps select appropriate methods.

What you'll need

  • Typically requires a more than 10 years' of related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field, preferred.
  • Experience working in customer-facing role
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary environment with team in different geographical locations.
  • Ability to travel regionally and internationally up to 50%

  • You will representing the team locally but you colleagues will be remote
