Job Description - Business Development Consultant (Recruitment)

Roles & Responsibilities 

As a Business Development Consultant, you will play a key role in expanding our client base by acquiring new business opportunities and providing recruitment solutions to employers across various industries. This is a sales-driven role suited for individuals who enjoy building relationships, generating leads, and achieving targets. 

Key Responsibilities 

Business Development 

  • Prospect and acquire new employer clients through networking, referrals, social media, cold calling, and other business development channels.  

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.  

  • Understand clients' hiring needs and recommend suitable recruitment solutions.  

  • Arrange and conduct meetings with clients to understand their manpower requirements.  

  • Achieve individual sales, revenue, and client acquisition targets.  

  • Keep abreast of market trends, hiring demands, and industry developments.  

Recruitment & Account Management 

  • Understand clients' job vacancies, including job scope, salary package, employment terms, and hiring requirements.  

  • Source, screen, interview, and shortlist suitable candidates based on clients' requirements.  

  • Brief candidates on the job responsibilities, salary, benefits, and company information.  

  • Prepare candidate profiles and submit suitable candidates to clients.  

  • Coordinate interview arrangements between clients and candidates.  

  • Keep both clients and candidates informed throughout the recruitment process.  

  • Follow up with clients on interview feedback, hiring decisions, and placement status.  

  • Provide ongoing post-placement support to clients, including assisting with employee-related concerns, performance issues, replacement arrangements where applicable, and ensuring overall client satisfaction. 

  • Maintain long-term relationships with clients by providing responsive after-sales service and recruitment support. 

Administration 

  • Maintain accurate records of clients, candidates, and recruitment activities.  

  • Ensure compliance with MOM regulations and employment agency practices.  

Requirements 

  • Possess a valid Certificate for Employment Intermediaries (CEI). Applicants without a CEI but who have a strong interest in joining the recruitment industry are welcome to speak with us about obtaining the certification.  

  • Prior experience in sales, business development, recruitment, or employment agency services is preferred.  

  • Strong passion for sales with a proven ability to achieve targets.  

  • Comfortable with business development activities.  

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.  

  • Self-motivated, driven, and able to work independently.  

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.  

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.  

  • Knowledge of Singapore employment practices is an advantage.
