Position: Business Development Executive (GVSH)
Duties:
Lead Generation & Pipeline Building
Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities with corporate HR departments, landscape contractors, rehabilitation and social service organisations, educational institutions, and government agencies.
Execute cold outreach via LinkedIn, email, and phone
Attend industry events, roadshows, and networking sessions to build a robust pipeline of prospective learners and corporate partners.
Maintain a live prospect pipeline tracker (Google Sheets / CRM) updated after every touchpoint.
Client Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong partnerships with existing and potential clients — understanding their workforcedevelopment needs to recommend the right training solutions.
Conduct in-person presentations and site visits; deliver compelling pitches that highlight the ROI of GVSH's curriculum, WSQ certifications, and hands-on learning approach
Negotiate corporate training contracts and group enrolment terms, ensuring agreements are mutually beneficial and focused on long-term partnerships.
Course Sales - Product Knowledge
Pitch WSQ-funded courses (Plant Health Management, Plant Pruning, Chainsaw Operations, Credit Control) to employers, always leading with nett fee after SSG subsidy — not full price.
Pitch non-WSQ offerings (Community Garden Workshop, Therapeutic Horticulture Workshop, Basic English for Foreign Workers) to wellness, CSR, and social service buyers.
Expand into AEP/SEC(K) employer outreach.
Grant Advisory & SSG Compliance
Provide accurate advice on SSG funding eligibility: SkillsFuture Credit (SFC), Enhanced Training Support for SMEs (ETSS), Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy (MCES), and Absentee Payroll (AP). • Calculate nett fees (Total Fee minus Subsidies plus GST) on the fly during client calls.
Navigate TPGateway to check trainee eligibility and support zero-error grant applications in coordination with our internal admin team
Ensure all sales and marketing activities comply with SSG's Marketing Code of Practice and the latest Course Funding Guidelines
Proposal Preparation & Presentation
Prepare customized training proposals and course outlines tailored to each client's workforce development needs.
Deliver stakeholder presentations highlighting certification outcomes, SSG funding, and the practical value of GVSH's hands-on programmes.
Use GVSH's company profile and MySkillsFuture course links as standard collateral in every client interaction.
Market Research & Sales Strategy
Stay current with the Skills Framework, SkillsFuture initiatives, and competitor ATO offerings to identify gaps and new course opportunities.
Monitor emerging trends in green skills, sustainability training, and construction-sector workforce development.
Develop and implement sales strategies to penetrate target segments, with clear weekly and monthly action plans.
Internal Collaboration & Handoff
Collaborate with the training team to ensure course delivery aligns with client expectations.
Work with the marketing team to promote upcoming intake dates and ensure course listings on MySkillsFuture and gvsh.com.sg are accurate and current.
Reporting & Performance Tracking
Prepare and maintain regular sales, pipeline, and performance reports to monitor progress against business development targets.
Track key performance metrics, analyze trends, and provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making and continuous improvement.
Candidate Profile:
Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
1–2 years of sales experience within an Approved Training Organisation (ATO) or CET Centre in Singapore preferred; fresh graduates will be considered too.
Proven familiarity with the Skills Framework and SSG's Quality Assurance framework.
Excellent written and spoken English - persuasive, clear, and able to simplify technical or regulatory information.
Results-oriented and self-driven; comfortable managing a pipeline independently and following through on every lead.
At ease with cold outreach - LinkedIn messages, emails, phone calls, and face-to-face client visits.
Proficient in Google Workspace (Gmail, Sheets, Drive), LinkedIn, and CRM software (e.g., HubSpot or equivalent).
