Job Overview

We are looking for a motivated Solar BD to drive business development and sales for commercial and industrial (C&I) solar photovoltaic (PV) projects. You will work closely with customers, project teams, and key stakeholders to deliver sustainable energy solutions from proposal development through project completion.

Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

• Identify and develop new business opportunities for commercial and industrial solar PV projects.
• Conduct business development activities, including customer visits, cold calling, and canvassing.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
• Achieve individual and team sales targets.

Proposal & Tender Management

• Prepare quotations, proposals, and tender submissions.
• Present technical and commercial proposals to customers.
• Participate in commercial negotiations and contract discussions.

Commercial & Financial Analysis

• Prepare project costing and financial evaluations to support commercial proposals.
• Assist in assessing project feasibility and commercial viability.
• Support the preparation of business cases and investment analysis.

Project Coordination

• Work closely with Engineering, Project Management, Operations & Maintenance (O&M), and EPC teams to support project execution.
• Coordinate with customers, utility providers, consultants, contractors, and relevant stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor project progress and support timely project delivery.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Solar Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related discipline.

Experience

• Experience in the renewable energy, engineering, utilities, or related industry will be an advantage.
• Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications are welcome to apply.

Skills & Competencies

• Good communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Sales-driven with a customer-focused mindset.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Willing to conduct customer visits, cold calling, and business development activities.
• Familiarity with solar PV design software such as Helioscope, PVsyst, AutoCAD, or equivalent software will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of financial modelling, project costing, or commercial evaluation of engineering projects will be an advantage.
