Job Description & Requirements

Our client is a newly established food retail company seeking to expand its presence and explore new business opportunities in Singapore.

We are seeking an experienced Sales Development cum Sales Director to spearhead business growth, formulate strategic sales initiatives, and lead the company's commercial expansion. This role is ideal for a commercially driven leader with a proven track record in developing new markets, establishing strategic partnerships, building high-performing sales teams, and driving sustainable revenue growth within the food retail industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sales and business development plans to achieve revenue, market share, and profitability targets.
• Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities while expanding the company's customer base and distribution channels.
• Build, lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to consistently achieve sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, business partners, and other stakeholders.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends, customer demands, and new growth opportunities.
• Develop pricing strategies, negotiate commercial agreements, and oversee contract discussions to maximise business value.
• Monitor sales performance, prepare regular sales forecasts and management reports, and recommend strategies to improve business performance.
• Work closely with operations and other internal departments to ensure efficient execution of sales initiatives and high customer satisfaction.
• Represent the company at industry exhibitions, networking events, and business meetings to strengthen the company's market presence.
• Perform any other duties or strategic projects assigned by the management.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience in sales, business development, or commercial leadership roles.
• Proven track record of driving business growth, developing new markets, and leading high-performing sales teams.
• Strong strategic planning, business development, and market expansion capabilities.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify business opportunities and convert them into sustainable revenue.
• Results-driven, self-motivated, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience in the food retail, FMCG, food distribution, or related industries will be an advantage.
