We are looking for friendly, responsible, and sales-driven Retail Associates to join us for a short-term contract role at Takashimaya from 29 July to 16 August.

This is a great opportunity to be part of a growing home and bedding brand, meet customers face-to-face, and represent Kapas Living in a premium retail environment.

Role Overview

As a Retail Associate, you will be the face of Kapas Living at Takashimaya. Your main role is to create a warm and helpful shopping experience, understand customer needs, recommend suitable products, and support daily sales performance.

We are looking for someone who is confident, approachable, and comfortable speaking with customers. You should enjoy selling, explaining products clearly, and helping customers choose the right items for their home.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Understand customer needs and recommend suitable Kapas Living products
• Explain product details such as fabric type, material benefits, sizing, care instructions, and features
• Support individual and store sales performance
• Assist customers with product selection, gifting, bundles, and promotions
• Handle basic customer enquiries
• Support cashiering or POS transactions where required
• Keep the retail area clean, organised, and visually presentable
• Replenish products and maintain attractive displays
• Assist with stock checks and inventory accuracy
• Share customer feedback and sales insights with the team
• Work closely with the team to achieve sales targets

Requirements

• Prior experience in retail, sales, customer service, or hospitality is preferred
• Experience in bedding, home living, furniture, fashion, beauty, or lifestyle retail is a plus
• Friendly, confident, and comfortable speaking with customers
• Sales-driven with a positive attitude
• Able to learn product knowledge quickly
• Responsible, punctual, and well-groomed
• Able to commit to the full contract period from 29 July to 16 August
• Able to work retail shifts, including weekends and public holidays
• Basic cashiering or POS experience is an advantage
• Fluent in English; Mandarin or Malay is a plus to assist Mandarin/Malay-speaking customers

Working Hours

Retail shift schedule, including weekends and public holidays. Exact roster will be confirmed by the team.
